Making an impact in Nepal
In 2015, Nepal was hit by a devastating earthquake which killed over 9,000 people and rendered thousands homeless. Discover how Tuff Industries, guided by our mission, has helped to give back in our own way.

Pal Ewam Namgyal Monastic School, Pokhara, Nepal
Many in Nepal live in remote hill areas, who depend on subsistence farming to get by and take on occasional jobs as cooks or porters during the trekking season. Many of them struggle to provide education, food and accommodation for their children.

The Namgyal Monastery, Mustang, Nepal
The Namgyal Monastery in Mustang, Nepal was established in the 13th century, which makes it one of the oldest monasteries in Nepal. Located at the northern part of Nepal, it stands at an impressive 3850 metres above sea level.

Continuing Rebuilding Efforts
Our rebuilding efforts for monastic schools in Nepal after the earthquake in 2015 did not stop there. We continued to provide additional support to further improve the living and learning conditions for the children at the monastic schools. Now, the local children are able to resume their classes and programmes with running clean water and electricity supply.

Helping Junior Lamas with their daily expenses
By providing Junior Lamas at the Pal Ewam Namgyal Monastic School with financial assistance for their daily essentials and expenses, our unwavering support for them has enabled many to rebuild their homes and lives following the devastation caused by the earthquake in 2015.

Support during COVID-19 Pandemic
When the COVID-19 pandemic struck in 2019, many in the monastery did not have access to essentials such as face masks. Apart from donating N95 masks to them, we also ensured that they were well-informed on how to safely protect themselves against the virus.
